Our Project

Time period: 15. September 2012 - 08. November 2012

The Maya Foundation is an NGO supporting small scale development projects in rural Nepal. Our project is one of them.
Within the Nepali village schools there are some students that are not able to follow the class. Those students are not able to understand the topics tought by their teachers and do therefore often fail the exams and their graduation. But their opportunity to get a job is depending on this graduation.

While working for Maya our main focus will be on the research - on finding out why some students having a hard time to keep up with the demanding school routine. Afterwards we will develop a method to coach the local teachers so that they are able to develop teaching techniques that include every student. Most likely we will not be able to complete the implementing process on-site. However we see our responsibility in making our work transferable then.
The earliest date our product will finally be completed is the 15th of January 2013. Our deliverable will be a teacher coaching that can be continued after we have left.
